Travellers who need their Turkish eVisa have the province apply using the priority service for guaranteed 1- 4 hour processing. Citizens of over 90 eligible countries can obtain the e-Visa for Turkey. When travelling to Turkey, most nationalities must hold a passport valid for at least 5 months.

Turkey multiple-entry visa:

Foreigners from the eligible countries listed below can obtain a Turkey multiple-entry visa, should complete all other Turkey e Visa requirements. The multiple-entry visa is valid for 180 days from the date granted and can stay in Turkey for up to 90 days.

Turkey Single-Entry Visa:

Applicants passport holders from the following countries are eligible for a Turkish single-entry eVisa. Applicants can stay in Turkey for 30 days and valid for 180 days from the granted dates.

Exemptions / Visa-Free Countries:

There is an extended list of countries that need a visa to travel to Turkey. Exemptions are for the countries which share good diplomatic relations with Turkey.

Residents of the Russian Federation can also enter Turkey without a visa and can live a minimum of 90 days to a half-year, with a maximum stay of 60 days each visit. Citizens of Brunei, Macao, Mongolia, Latvia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Thailand, Costa Rica, and Turkmenistan, on the other hand, are permitted to stay in Turkey for a maximum of 30 days per visit with 90 days every six-month period.

There are a few more exemptions as listed below:

  • Suppose one belongs to Cyprus and is a resident of Northern Cyprus; he/she can directly land from Ercan International Airport of Famagusta, Kyrenia, or Karavostas. In that case, if they achieve this requirement, they can live in Turkey for a maximum range of 90 days to 180 days.
  • Assume you are a Libyan citizen under the age of 13 or over the age of 65. If this criterion is met, they can live in Turkey for a maximum range of 90 days to 180 days.
  • If an individual is a Palestinian with a VIP passport.

How to Apply Online for Turkish e-Visa?

Some formalities must be completed in order to apply for a visa to enter Turkey. All of them must be completed correctly and in the correct order. Any error will result in the application being rejected, which will have an impact on future applications. 1. Check what type of Turkish visa one needs to apply for.

For following other type for purposes visas are given by Turkish Embassies or Consulates:

  • Business Visa is needed for individuals whose main purpose of the trip to Turkey is transit, business meeting, conference, touristic visit, meeting, festival, seminar, exhibition, fair, official visit, cultural-artistic activity, sportive activity, or visit the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
  • Education visas are provided to those individuals who have the intention to study in Turkey, maybe to join a course or an internship in any educational institution out there.
  • Work visas are provided for those individuals whose intentions are employment, or an assigned academic, free zone worker, artist, journalist, sportsperson to Turkey or for montage and repairman purposes.
  • Additionally, there are categories of visas for archaeological excavation, exploration, documentation, tour operator representative, companionship, family reunion, freight visa, medical treatment purposes, or seafarer visa.

2. Find out when is the right time to apply.

The Turkish government suggests applying a month prior to the trip for a visa. This is suggested to avoid the inconveniences that may occur in processing. The earliest date to apply is 60 days prior to the trip.

To apply for a Turkish E-Visa, you must first fill out an Turkish online visa form that includes questions about your identification, nationality, and intended purpose of visit. The system will ask for the documents according to the purpose of the trip. The documents required vary according to purpose.

The easier steps are: -

  • Visit the eVisa application form of Turkey and finish the online process of the application form.
  • Within minutes, one should receive an email asking for confirmation / verification details whether one has started the application process. Check the spam folder as well. Return to the e-Visa application page.
  • The Turkey visa fee for an eVisa application must then be paid online at the eVisa application website. One can pay using MasterCard or PayPal. Once the payment is made, a mail is received.
  • Download the e–Visa form mail or website. A reaffirmation email is sent, directing one to the home page to download the e-Visa. Print the e–visa. The authorities in Turkey anticipate one to present the e-visa in a printed form. Providing the border authorities with a version of the e-visa on the phone or other gadgets is unacceptable.

3. Collect the required documents.

The required documents are the passport with a validity of at least 5 months and the e-visa. There is an exemption for a few nationals. They can enter Turkey by just showing their ID proofs.

There is a special provision for Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, and Portugal nationals. They can enter Turkey with a passport that has expired in the last five years, as well.

Turkish e Visa Validity:

A Turkish visa allows you to stay in Turkey for up to 90 days in a 180 days period. Based on your nationality, you will be permitted to remain in Turkey for:

  • Maximum for 1 month within 180 days
  • Maximum for 3 months within 180 days

Note: The validity rule of a visa applies differently for e-visa holders and sticker visa holders.

Turkey's current visa policy allows citizens of 90 countries to stay in Turkey for 90 days. Russian citizens may stay in Turkey for 60 days from the date of entry. Citizens from Belarus, Latvia, Mongolia, Brunei, Thailand, Macao, Costa Rica, and Turkmenistan may stay for 30 days after arrival.

Turkey Visa Cost:

Turkey's electronic visa cost depends on the nationality of the traveller. The range is between €14 and €71.

Turkish visa fees for sticker visas, on the other hand, range from €117 for the cheapest to €180 for the most expensive for most nationalities. Although the citizens of some other countries, such as the UAE, may have to pay higher visa charges, up to €465.

    They must also quarantine for 10 days in a government-designated hotel at their own expense. (Minors under 12 are exempt). The following rule is not applicable to passengers who in the last 14 days have been in Afghanistan, Nepal, Brazil, Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, or Sri Lanka with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate that shows full vaccination at least 14 days before arrival.
  • Travellers from other countries can travel to Turkey if they have an official vaccination certificate. They may also present a certificate stating that they recovered from COVID-19 between 28 days and 6 months before arrival. In both cases, they are not required to present a PCR test.
  • In the absence of a vaccination certificate or COVID-19 recovery certificate, passengers must provide the results of a negative PCR test taken less than 72 hours before arrival or a negative rapid antigen test taken less than 48 hours before arrival.
  • Children below the age of 12 are exempted from taking a PCR test.
