Turkish Visa Application Form Process

Planning a family or solo trip to Turkey? Or going on a tourism or commerce trip to the country? We can guide you through the process and application form details step by step! Don’t worry! It's not that complicated.

If someone from any other country wants to visit Turkey, he/she is required to obtain a visa regardless of the nature and purpose of the trip. Turkey offers two options in this regard: a manual visa process and an online visa. The manual process involves applying for a visa via an ordinary process of visiting the embassy, standing in the queue, and submitting all the mandatory documents. On the other hand, an online visa involves applying for a visa through an e-visa. This process is a relatively easy and time-saving approach. The charges for both these processes vary on the type of visit and purpose of the visit.

Firstly, go to the Turkey eVisa website from your device with an optimum internet connection. From there find the ‘Apply eVisa’ sub-menu under the Application menu at the bottom left side of the page.

Then a form will partially appear in front of you and you will have to select the options that fit you along the way. Let us start with the main procedures now.

1. General Details:

Here, you will need to mention your intended date of arrival in Turkey. Make sure the date is within 3 months of your visa application. Again, you should apply for the visa at least 2 days/48 hours before your departure for Turkey. The date you enter will be in DD/MM/YYYY.

The next three bars will contain your e-mail ID, your personal phone number, and lastly, your home address. The e-mail ID you are going to enter will later on be used to contact you about the progress of your visa processing. So, make sure you enter a valid and active e-mail ID in the form. The same conditions may apply to your provided phone number and home address.

After that, read the security verification code from the bottom and type it out inside the third bar. Be aware of typing a wrong letter/number or you will need to repeat the process.

If you are too late to proceed to that bar, you will get a notification saying the verification code is invalid. But no worries, you can repeat this step once more.

Once you are done with this, go forward and tap on ‘Next’.

2. Country/Region

Under this section, you will find three separate bars to input your information from the dropdown menus. Firstly, select your country/region of origin for the first bar.

You can already see that your visa is for a multiple/single entry visa. Below is a list of payment options that you have for your flexibility in transaction. If you are done with the steps on this page, go forward and tap on ‘Save and Continue’.

3. Personal Information

This is the most important part of your application processing. Here, you will find a form that is to be filled out with all of your personal information and details. Before filling it out, make sure that the information that you are about to enter matches your travel document. Or else, your application will be invalid.

Starting from the top, you have to enter your name; your Given/First name, and your Surname separately. That is followed by your date of birth, the same as it is on your passport.

Then enter your place of birth, indicating mainly the country/city where you were born. You cannot use any special characters in this section except for dash(-), dot(.), apostrophe(‘), and comma(,).

Then subsequently, select the travel document you are willing to use for the visa processing. Make sure you check the eligibility status for your intended travel document from the website.

Nextly, you have to enter your parents’ names in the two boxes below the Place of Birth. Go with your mother’s name first, followed by your father’s name.

After that section, Enter your Passport Number, the special number/code which will be written on the main page of your passport.

On the same page on your passport, you will find the date of issue and the date of expiry of your passport, which you are about to enter in the form. After that, as you are applying for a visa, you will choose ‘Visa’ from the drop-down menu of ‘Type of SUpporting Doc.’

Then, click on the country you issued your supporting document from, in the next drop-down menu. You should have a Supporting Doc. No. that you will input in the next bar, followed by the date of expiry of your supporting document.

Once you are done with the information on this page, make sure to check the last check box and then tap on ‘Save and Continue’.

4. Prerequisites

On this page, you will be needed to check a few checkboxes. The list of checkboxes is the prerequisites that you need to ensure before proceeding with your application.

You must meet the mentioned criteria and click the checkboxes accordingly. If you fail to do so, your visa application will be invalid and you will be ineligible for the application process.

Once you check all of the mentioned checkboxes, the option for ‘Save and Continue’ will appear below the list. Otherwise, you will not be able to see the option until you check all of them.

Once you complete the list, go forward and tap on ‘Save and Continue’.

You will get a second chance at going through your entered information. There will be a notification saying ‘Verify your information’, like this:

Make sure you properly go through your information once again. If you find any error, you can always edit by tapping on the ‘Edit’ option. If you find the information is all correct, please proceed with ‘Verify’.

Now, an e-mail will be sent to your e-mail ID. Check that e-mail and you will process the next steps from a link provided to you through that e-mail. You will need to verify your e-mail within 1 hour of that notification, otherwise, your application will be canceled. Again, if you do not complete your visa application process within 48 hours, your application will be deleted from the system and you will have to start a new application all over again.

From your e-mail, click on ‘Approve’ and verify your e-mail ID. It will then direct you to the application page again and now you will see the payment option.

5. Payment

There are a total of 10 types of payment options, namely, Credit card, UnionPay, iDeal, Alipay, eps, Bancontact, P24, Sofort, KNet, and PayU. You can choose any one of them as per your choice. After that, enter your account details. You will see on the top your exact application fee.

That is the total amount you are going to pay from the given options. Once you are done, proceed with ‘Make Payment’.

Your Visa application is hereby done and now you will need to wait for any further notice through e-mail from the website.
