ITA Airways and Turkish Airlines Initiate Codeshare Collaboration

ITA Airways, the national flag carrier of Italy, and Turkish Airlines, the airline that flies to more countries than any other carrier in the world, have jointly announced a new codeshare partnership that will provide enhanced connectivity and flight options for customers traveling between Italy and Turkey.

Key Details of the Codeshare Agreement:

• The codeshare agreement will go into effect starting July 2023.
• Under the agreement, ITA Airways will place its marketing code and flight numbers on Turkish Airlines' flights operating between Rome Fiumicino Airport and Istanbul Airport.
• Reciprocally, Turkish Airlines will place its marketing code and flight numbers on 9 destinations operated by ITA Airways within Italy beyond the Rome hub, including Brindisi, Bari, Catania, Florence, Genoa, Palermo, Lamezia Terme, Turin and Trieste.
• This new codeshare will allow customers booking flights on either ITA Airways or Turkish Airlines to seamlessly connect onto the partner airline's flights using a single reservation.
• Key benefits for customers include simplified booking, one-stop check-in and baggage transfer to their final destination when connecting between the airlines.
